Overview

Setting the swimming world ablaze at the young age of fifteen with two world records in one day propelled Anita Nall Richesson into the fast lane of success. After swimming for the cycle (gold, silver, & bronze) in the 1992 Olympic Summer Games in Barcelona, many health challenges hampered her attempts at returning to an Olympic level. Challenged by a series of “mystery illnesses” that lasted a decade after the Olympics, Anita rediscovered health through food and functional medicine. Anita is now a Certified Holistic Nutrition Specialist & Educator and Certified Life & Essential Oils Coach. Anita’s current work is to help teen athletes understand the importance of maximizing both their physical and mental well-being and the role they both play in high-level performance.

During this webinar, hear this Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder’s amazing health journey – from being an elite athlete to sickness, sleeping 13 hours a night and complete exhaustion. The struggle was real for Anita for over a decade until she was able to discover her own path to healing and lay the foundation for her work in functional nutrition and wellness.

Anita Nall Richesson

U.S. Olympic Swimming Champion who Won Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 1992 Olympics at the Age of Only 16 and was a World Record Holder at 15, Founder of “Anita Nall Champion Powered Programs” and Been Featured in The NYT, Sports Illustrated, Washington Post, Muscle & Fitness, Member of Both the Celebrity Alliance and the Expert Practitioner Alliance – Focusing on Nutrition. I’m a Functional Nutrition & Wellness Expert who had to go through a major health breakdown to understand the powerful role our wellbeing plays in our lives. Following my Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and World Records in the 1992 Olympic Games, life as I knew it came to a screeching halt. The elite, Olympic-level body I once experienced was gone, and fatigue, despair, and chronic illness had taken its place during a decade of “mystery illnesses” that followed my Olympic debut. There were days I’d sleep for 13 hours and still wake up exhausted. I experienced chronic sinus infections, colds, flus, and body aches. The Struggle was Real! I went to every major health institution in the U.S. and got no answers for almost 10 years! Chronic sickness became my new normal. I was on one antibiotic after the other with ZERO success.
