Overview

Hair pulling. Skin picking. Nail biting. These behaviors—commonly known as Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs)—affect millions of individuals and are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or mistreated. They can cause profound physical and emotional harm, especially in children and adolescents.

In this important webinar, integrative psychiatrist Dr. James Greenblatt, Chief Medical Officer of Psychiatry Redefined, will explore a functional medicine framework for assessing and treating these often-overlooked conditions. Drawing on more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Greenblatt will discuss the underlying biological and nutritional factors that contribute to impulse-driven behaviors like hair pulling (Trichotillomania), skin picking (Excoriation Disorder), nail biting (Onychophagia), and more.
