This advanced practice training provides a comprehensive framework for clinicians wanting to offer affirming and inclusive care for Autistic and ADHD clients facing complex chronic health conditions, often where traditional approaches have failed to make an impact.

Join us to explore the unique stressors and vulnerabilities of your neurodivergent patients, and how to improve their overall health and well being.

In this hands-on training, Claire Sehinson, MSc, will explore the Autistic and ADHD neurotypes. We will look beyond the DSM criteria, pathologizing narratives and stereotypes we have been previously trained on. The training will equip practitioners with a holistic understanding of the ways that neurodivergent individuals learn, think and experience the world and how an environmental mismatch can set up the conditions for chronic cycles of illness that increase in complexity over time.

You will learn about the unique stressors, vulnerabilities, sensory overwhelm, interoception variability, executive functioning challenges and more that these patient face, and discover how to bridge the double-empathy gap to avoid miscommunication and improve outcomes for these individuals.

This complex cases training will coach clinicians and providers in how to prioritize a complex case to reduce overwhelm and overcome plateaus for both patient and practitioner. This training is taught from lived and specialist clinical experience of both neurodivergence and complex chronic illness. It focuses on natural and non-medical approaches and can be integrated into any functional medicine or holistic practice.

PROGRAM START & TRAINING DATES: The training begins with the first live session on May 22, 2025. Live sessions will be held May 22, May 29, June 5, and June 12.
